CANNABIS PROPAGANDA- THE RETURN OF THE ATTACK ON NATURAL MEDICINE

Cannabis propaganda has always been a tool used by government and society forces to create a false narrative and bad reputation for the plant since the early 1800s. Many organizations and research programs are officializing the incredible benefits of not only cannabis, but also mushrooms, DMT, and even ayahuasca. With many ancient texts and scriptures related to the health benefits of these herbs being more attainable, it is making it incredibly hard for the government to keep everyone asleep. This is causing the program to utilize social media, doctors, and false information to stir the pot (no pun intended).

One of the first major movements of the country taking freedom away from the plant, was the national regulation called the," Marihuana Tax Act of 1937". Although there were smaller laws passed throughout the late 1800s too have cannabis being sold labeled as "poison", nothing would be compared to the next step. This would take away recreational use and impose a tax on ALL medicinal and hemp products. This was being imposed as big pharma and tobacco would soon take-over, and the misinformation would rapidly spread. The public on the other side wouldn't be prepared for what was to follow nearly 30 years later.

In 1970 the," Controlled Substance Act" (CSA) was passed, throwing cannabis onto a list with substances that actually harm, kill, and ruin people's life. Followed by this, a large portion of society will fall victim to the false information being vocalized by media and cause the country too to fall into the war on cannabis.

Growing up in the 2000's I would constantly hear," cannabis ruins people's lives." Alot of you most likely remember the "D.A.R. E" program, and my experience was often they wouldn't focus on the hard drugs, but they would try there hardest to teach you that cannabis is terrible. This split in opinions was caused by the massive push too keep marijuana labialized as a hard substance. Sadly, it took far to long for the public to know the truth, leading to countless lives being ruined by simple possession charges. Although states are surely changing laws, the damage that some people have been caused is irreversible. With President Biden claiming no person should be in a cell for cannabis, his intentions would be shown when he passed a," marijuana pardon" that released 0 prisoners. Clearly regardless of further legalization, we the people will never get the apology we deserve.

Project schizophrenic loading. All jokes, but chances are if you're on Facebook reels or Instagram you've seen a post. People are sharing their stories about themselves or family and how cannabis caused them to go into a traumatic psychosis. Well let's dig into this. Majority of these people are also admitted to either hard drug use, k2 use, and or pre aligning health conditions. Yes, believe it or not if you abuse drugs of any sort and then smoke cannabis (with-out knowing the damage your brain already has) it may cause your brain to ENHANCE the effect you already have. It's not the cannabis causing you psychosis but rather you getting high is causing your brain too to trigger into a psychosis. But the problem is people are not explaining it, but trying to manipulate people that daily cannabis use can cause this effect. Many people would rather not do their own research, creating a mix of confused and mis-informed people. Out of the research done, there are no studies that proves cannabis directly causes these health issues, but rather past drug history and pre aligning health conditions do. For example, if someone who has bi-polar and a risk of schizophrenia abuses drugs then stops and smokes weed, there is a chance of their brain being triggered. But don't take that from us, always do your own research for yourself. We've seen the true healing properties and benefits this plant has to offer to everyone on earth, and it truly bothers us that some people's interpretation of cannabis gets twisted from information like this.

Another wave of propaganda that I noticed started in late 2018-2019, and it was happening at the doctors. I first acknowledged what was going on when I went to the hospital for stomach problems. Everything goes normal and they are genuinely investigative, then they ask the good ol'," Do you smoke weed?" I'm very pro-cannabis so I'm always up-front regardless of who it is, and often have to educate them on the actual science behind the plant. As soon as I say yes, they try to put the blame on cannabis. They don't really try to diagnose or help, and they write me up for a "stomach bug" and explain there is a high chance it's the cannabis. I started asking friends from various states and came to find out that this is happening all over. Many of my friends will go to the doctors for various reasons and get told its most likely the cannabis or cannabis overload syndrome. I believe doctors should be working on a true diagnosis with all patient's, rather than when is un-known to put the blame on weed. I understand that people green out, but getting super sick the next day? I'm not too sure about that. Personally, I believe this happening so the federal government can make a move to control all or a majority or production and cultivation. If you can convince a large population that certain "dirty weed" is causing illness, they can convert those people too customers ($$$). Remember when the state of Connecticut claimed they had cannabis product with fentanyl, and it turned out false? We would love to hear other's experiences with this! Have you been told this by a doctor?

Overall, we want patients and the public as a whole to be cautious with the information they receive. Always do your own research and find reliable research studies, not just the news. As a stoner you have no worries at all. Make sure you smoke clean product, stay away from fake carts, and dose your-self accordingly. Cannabis can be a great resource when used properly, you just have to build your relationship with the plant by training your mind to be productive and motivated every sesh. I'm excited to see where cannabis goes in our lifetime, will we ever get the freedom we deserve?
